Caring Choices is a designated ADAP enrollment site for Shasta, Tehama and Trinity Counties. This program is a service funded by the State Office of AIDS to support individuals living with HIV.


Additional programs that we offer revolve around interdisciplinary teams offering case management services to help people navigate life with a positive HIV diagnosis. 


HCP is a program through the State Office of AIDS currently available in Shasta Tehama & Trinity Counties. This program offers a wide range of services for those living with HIV. Our dedicated Case Managers work with clients one on one to help with specific needs.

HOPWA:  Housing Opportunities for People With HIV/AIDS

HOPWA is a federally funded program that allows us to offer emergency financial assistance with utilities and housing. This program is available in Butte, Glenn, Shasta, Tehama, Trinity, Yuba, Sutter and Colusa Counties.

Caring Choices’ HIV Programs exist to provide those affected by HIV/AIDS multiple levels of assistance through case management and direct assistance. Services We Provide Include: AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) —provides medications at no cost for eligible individuals, HIV Care Program (HCP)—provides case management by Registered Nurses and Social Workers to assist with medical, social, financial and emotional aspects of living with HIV/AIDS, Housing Assistance for People with AIDS (HOPWA), AIDS Medi-Cal Waiver Program, in conjunction with Home & Health Care Management, Office of AIDS Preexisting Condition Insurance Program (OA-PCIP) & Health Insurance Premium Program (OA-HIPP),  HIV Prevention & Local Implementation Group (LIG)
